Love the way you portrayed everyone here, not very OOC in my opinion (though i'm not the best person to ask about that ). Great story too, if you didn't catch that already

What a great story! You did a wonderful job of keeping everyone in character, and just as importantly, set this piece within a plausible frame of reference. So many fanfic writers get one great idea for one great scenario, and they rush to write their one-shot without any set-up or explanation for what's going on. But the way you crafted your story felt very natural, like this ought to be a lost episode of either of the FMA animes.

I loved how well you portrayed Edward's palpable, frantic worry for his little brother, and how he would blindly push himself to his absolute limit to find and save him. I don't think there's ever been a more dedicated big brother than Edward, but this time, his devotion nearly cost him his life, poor thing! I thought you portrayed Mustang wonderfully, (especially at the end, when he was assaulted by his over-taxed emotions), and have to thank you for making this a Parental-Roy/Ed story, as that can be a legitimate interpretation of their relationship, not the yaoi fans' perverted version of their interactions. (No offense to yaoi fans, but I just don't think fanfic writers should change genders/orientations/specific personality tics of someone else's characters, that's all.).

My only wish would be for another chapter! How did Mustang get Ed back to Central? What was Ed and Al's reunion like? If Ed was unconscious at the time, they would've had to wait till he was awake so he could restore Al's armor, or else the rescue team would've had to move Al like freight. Another reason why a second chapter would be wonderful: Edward in the hospital/going to the doctor stories are strangely just so much fun to read! He's so headstrong and feisty, even when it's in Ed's best interest, he doesn't seem to cooperate very well, putting it mildly. I'd also like to see if Ed ever tried to show some kind of gratitude towards Mustang, only for him to go back to teasing his smallest subordinate. Anyway, thanks again for a great addition to my faves!
