A novel concept, and I like something different if it's done well, which this is. If you take it back a generation, Lily was a prefect, and I assume her initial reaction would've been similar to Hermione's. James wasn't a prefect and it is not actually stated if he was Quidditch captain - if he was, would Lily have invited him? If not, he would probably ask Remus to make sure none of the other boys (especially Snape, assuming he was a prefect) got too friendly with her. However, if the meeting was on the evening of a full moon...

Lol, it's actually pretty smart. It only works in the wizarding world because in some ways they're more tradition and there are spells in place. In the muggle world, this would have turned into orgies a long time ago, lol.
