You write good but I just can't get invested in their "relationship" if you couldn't tell by my ranting. Sasuke surviving lacked suspense and hope since you made it clear there'd be a sequel with him in it before hand though. Glad Gaara at least was still competent and killed that shit clod. Assuming he died from the gunshot. I won't be reading the sequel based on the detailed summary you gave. It just doesn't add up to me. They don't actually know each other so they can't be in real love, their so called relationship has been a farce so far in my eyes due to them not actually having one, so no I don't believe their "love" will survive though if you want them to have a happy ending they will even if it's illogical, and a cop suddenly fucking with an Uchiha makes no sense given all that crap that was said and implied about them throughout the story so if anything its probably a rookie cop who either is just going halfcocked and getting lucky or a crooked cop that either wants some extra money/power or is part of a rival gang that's got something against Sasuke. Either way it shouldn't even be an issue if the Uchiha influence is as big and far as had been said. And as to the independence thing, I'm not sure how controlling Sasuke will be and how much of it will be for Naruto's safety in response to the kidnapping that he went through and his position as a huge target to get to Sasuke but regardless it was going to happen and Naruto should have seen it coming from their previous conversations. Sasuke views him as something to own and never share. He's made THAT much clear. I hold no remorse and barely any pity for these idiots. And that includes Kyuubi. Why he let's Sasuke near his nephew after hearing of the molestations and almost rape I don't want to understand. Iruka and Gaara were super cool though. Best characters in the whole story. Lol.

Awesome shit Iruka got them connections yo! Orochimaru better be killed. His information is hardly useful and he has nothing more of value to give. Gato was killed for doing less to Naruto AND Sasuke still had quick access to him afterwards. Orochimaru did more, did worse, and made Naruto no longer in his reach for who knows how long as who knows what else is happening to him. As to "keeping his word" he could've been lying. I don't like how quickly Naruto is liking and wanting Sasuke. Seriously, what is up with that in fanfics that are otherwise good? I can't be the only one able to shut down and ignore an attraction when the guy is a complete ass. Sure I may not get as much constant exposure as Naruto gets to the asshole but what I did get caused my dislike to grow to the point where the attraction disappeared in light of the asshole in question not being a suitable partner.
