The Sentence that made this a impossible to be Canon. This says the combine was aware of Gordons affiliation with the G-man, and that he could have been hired by them. As well, His name is actually unknown. G-man is a fan name, Given to him because of What adrian Shepard called him in his diary.

This is a great story, I really enjoy reading it! Only thing that bothers me is the use of the word about.

For example: White Forest had about six overwatch rifles in their possesion. I think it should be

White forest had six overwatch rifles.

Just a thought as I have seen it a lot in some of the chapters. But overall great writing and I hope to read more of your fanfics in the future!

This is a really good story. The plot line was amazing and it made sense! I could easily picture all of the stuff that was going on (scenes, fighting) But really good job! -

Hey, so I'm here. And I really like the prologue - especially the way you portrayed Gordon. And the way you described his inner feelings, wow!

This is incredible work. I really mean that. I was apprehensive at first (mainly due to the "Episode Three" in the title - that's usually a red flag that this is little Johnny's first fanfic) but this first chapter has me hooked. Alerts and favorites across the board for you.

I think one thing you do extremely well that many authors don't (myself very much included) is embracing brevity over detail. You could've gone into exquisite description and made the first chapter an absolute eye-buster, but you didn't. Instead, you chose to hit fast and hit hard with a bit of Gordon's insight, and I love it for that. Keep up the good work.

I really liked this fan fic and this prologue. You did a great job starting your story and I am glad i found it.

Wow, this is amazing stuff. Sorta like Andy McNab meets Gordon Freeman...

This is a review for all chapters up to this point, which have been great so far. I figured I would review at this point before the plot develops further - in case it goes in some way I don't like - cos the story is great. I can see the 'freeman' part being close to the start of episode 3 - loved the inclusion of sign language - very clever.

The story seems right on so far - mysterious in proper HL style. The characters have been interesting so far - maybe the g-man is slightly ooc in the shepard stuff, but since he is such an enigma, i suppose no one knows what he is like. The action is also sublime, though it became a bit unclear every now and again. But at its best, it perfectly evokes the desperate, cinematic feel hl2 held for me.

So glad you seem to have decided to expand this like you did. Really looking forward to the end - 4.5/5
