Yaya The Elf chapter 1 . 6/10/2012
Okay, I really like this story. I mean, I REALLY REALLY like it. I just think that it really gives Anakin more depth, and, in a way, more darkness that he tries to defeat and ultimately fails. Seriously, excellent work

andaere chapter 1 . 7/28/2010
This is a very interesting study of Anakin. This might make me sound like a creeper, but I like reading descriptions of characters while they're sleeping. ;) And this didn't disappoint. As others have said, it's very insightful. To me, everything written about Anakin has a vein of tradgedy running through it, and this is no different. I can't help but wonder if things would've been different if Obi-Wan and Anakin had talked about his dreams...

Very poignant (especially the ending), great descriptions and character-voice, and proper grammar and spelling. Yippie. :)

Weirdly enough, the thing that struck me the most after I finished this was that I didn't realize it was sort of written in second-person until I read all of it. Normally I can't stand second-person (the "you do this" POV) but I didn't even notice here. It just seemed natural, and it pulled me in.

Excellent work!

This is really good!

I love how you wrote this from Obi-Wan's perspective because it's how I would have imagined his thoughts to be. Anakin deserves to have at least one person who fully understands him in his life. You don't really see this side of Obi-Wan in the movies. (I mean this intense)
IBG chapter 1 . 3/18/2010

Valairy Scot chapter 1 . 3/17/2010
You stir in your sleep, a low whimper of pain or fear escaping your lips, and I wince, because I know I can't wake you. I learned long ago not to wake you: you were so afraid for me to know what you felt, it was like a trespass on your soul. So I turn away, and leave you to whatever darkness haunts your dreams, the small moment of peace broken.

In a few minutes, you'll wake up, panting and choked with fear, and you won't go back to sleep for the rest of your night. In the morning, the circles under your eyes will be dark, and I will bite my tongue rather than point it out, yet again. You'll push yourself harder than usual, trying to defeat your dreams, and then you'll go back to bed to do it all again.

The other masters talk about how reckless you are, in a fight or any kind of vehicle. They don't understand that after your dreams, nothing else can ever scare you.

The bravest thing you do is dream.

That is so very insightful and wonderful - and makes you wonder, if Obi-Wan should have intruded on Anakin's "soul" - and helped save it.
