Excellent little story about the Volturi! I love how you created so much interest and tension through-out, even though they were just sitting around a table. I was not bored once! I really wish this would have been included in Breaking Dawn as an epilogue after the "battle." This would have added so much interest since the real ending was so anti-climatic! Do you think you could continue this story? I would love to see the Volturi's plan put into place and see how things turn out! Will the Volturi win in an actual battle against the Cullens and their allies or will they fail and be defeated? Will they force the vampires with special abilities to join their coven under threat of death or will they stick to their age-old tradition of only inviting a vampire to join and let said vampire choose for themselves? How will they deal with the werewolves? What about Renesmee? Will Aro try to recruit her for her gift or will he, once again, try to kill her? Will he try to get rid of Bella? What about the Children Of The Moon? What are they like and why are the Volturi so afraid of them? There are SOOOO many different directions you could take this story and you are such a talented writer that I think you could pull this off as a novel! Keep up the good work!

This story is off the charts! Wow! Very well-written depiction of what the Volturi might have done after returning to Volterra after being defeated by the Cullens. I agree with another reviewer that the Volturi actually feel like real villains here, whereas in the Twilight series, (even though I love the series,) the Volturi kind of felt like weak, half-written villains. I know the best villains are those that have a merciful side as well as a blood-thirsty, vicious side but the Volturi honestly felt a little TOO merciful in the Twilight series. I feel they could've had a little more viciousness to them!

I also didn't like how Alec always seemed to be in Jane's shadow through-out the series. I also didn't like how his power was "explained" in Eclipse but never "shown" until Breaking Dawn! I really wish he would've been able to show off his power from the very beginning in New Moon just like Jane. I think he would've been even scarier to Bella (and the reader/viewer) if she'd seen first-hand right from the beginning what both Jane and Alec were capable of, instead of just one of them. The only thing Alec dose in New Moon is rush over to Bella and grab her arm, keeping her from running to Edward and keeping her still while Jane tries to use her gift on her.

Alec doesn't even make an appearance in Eclipse, (the book,) and only shows up twice in Eclipse (the movie,) and doesn't once use his gift. I can certainly see why fans would consider Alec to be the "nice" twin, since he doesn't lash out as quick as Jane dose and seems calmer and more collected.

I also really loved how the Volturi, instead of sulking around the castle about being defeated by the Cullens, went straight into plotting their revenge! It definitely feels like something the Volturi would do after getting their egos bruised so easily! After all, they are THE most powerful vampires in the world and until Bella came along with her shield they were completely invincible!

I would love to see this story continued! I would love to see the Volturi go through with their new, diabolical plan! Please don't leave us hanging! Please turn this into a chapter story or write a sequel!

Ok, when Aro explained what Renesmee's gift was, I got chills. Litterally. Holy shit. Great fic. Would love to read more.

1. Why do I want to bone Aro so badly now? I love a good unapologetic villainous mastermind! Geez, I got chills reading this!

2. "Aro closed his eyes briefly at the sudden burst of Caius's mind into his, every familiar memory sweeping across him at the same time as the new thoughts new overpowered the old." I think that's supposed to be "as the new thoughts now overpowered the old", just pointing out the typo

3. "Aside from Jacob, Bella Swan is Renesmee's most devoted acolyte." Because none of the Volturi would know about Jacob or what he even looks like I think it would sound more in keeping with a previous quote in this fic where Aro refers to Jacob as "their pack leader, Jacob Black", if Aro referred to him solely as "Jacob Black". It sounds bit strange since he refers to Bella as "Bella Swan" right after referring to Jacob. It makes some sense to refer to Alice, Bella, and Edward by their informal first names because all of the Volturi know about them and have met them/seen them, but referring to Jacob Black as just "Jacob" feels more jarring. Just my opinion, though!
