I love you story, I also read Becketts point of view and its so cool how you can capture the way the characters think, ;D, at the end of the chapter I was wondering what they will feel like and I think you have pretty much answer that. So thanks, keep on the good work.

Tell me I'm not excited when my review is darn near as long as the piece itself! This was AWESOME starting with a great title. It sets up an immediate contrast in my mind as I think of someone being the 'great protector'... and then there's Castle with his rapier wit and heart of gold :) In the show, the cocky little smile that Castle has as he settles down on the couch, along with that great eyebrow move, is SO telling! I LOVE your way of expressing what he was thinking - that she trusted him and was staking her claim on him. The BEST assessment of their relationship - "What they did have between them was something that went much deeper than just sexual attraction." Another spot-on, amazing statement - "Kate Beckett was the most fascinating woman he had ever known in his life and he'd like nothing more than to spend the rest of his life learning more about her." I LOVE how you tied his sexual thoughts (which I think would have been natural) to their first case and her famous, "You have no idea," comment. I'll just BET he remembers that! And even though he was excited by sexual possibilities, he was now hoping for a RELATIONSHIP with her, built on friendship, trust and respect. It doesn't get any better than that! I look at this whole scene in the show much the same way as you expressed it - that they had turned a corner in their relationship by her acceptance of his need to take care of her. LOVED the last line! So there, I've practically quoted every line! :) Seriously, this was fantastic and I am highly honored to have such quality work dedicated to me!

A good job getting into the mind of the characters and keeping them 'in character.' It's refreshing to have a Caskett fic that doesn't try to rush the relationship, but fits squarely within the canon of the show - the long, slow tease that is both delicious and frustrating at the same time, just as it is meant to be.
