I knew those pills were the reason for all the drama but Mrs. Benson's health mix was an excellent Red Herring! I totally thought it was her but then again, knowing how you feel about Spencer I totally should have seen it coming.

Well, I have to admit that I'm a bit shocked at how easily they sort of slipped back into being 'them', but I have a feeling there is some serious angst up your sleeve...and possibly a dead Spencer in your closet.

You do a vulnerable Sam very well, she is always so harsh on the show but I've always felt that under it all she's got much more depth than the producer who shall not be named has allowed for.

The scene with her beating him to a pulp (I'm being dramatic...but she did rough him up pretty badly) was intense. As they say, there is a thin line between love and hate!

I love the idea of Sam running a little diver bar/diner. That is such a good fit for the way I see her. Also, Freddie's life is still making me say but you had me laughing when he paid that kid to tell his mom he wasnt home. Poor marissa.

The pills in Marissa's medicine cabinet...I am so intrigued! And I feel so sad for Freddie...he seems like he's just given up on life. Poor kid, but I can understand it sort of...love has kicked him in the ass!

This is a testament to how good you story is...I have a project due in 2 hours and I keep saying "just one more chapter"

Wow...you had me from the first paragraph! I love it when Freddie and Carly are written as fallible instead of perfect people whose lifetime good deed is taking care of Sam.

Freddie cheating with Carly! What jerkfaces! That really got my blood boiling. At this point I'm totally on Sam's side...but I have a feeling that may change at some point.

And the beer bottle over the head? I wanted to stand up and cheer! Yes...kick his ass Sam!

For a man reuniting with his dream lover Freddie seems somewhat subdued here.

But his inner goodness shines with the offer to host.

You have populated this with very recognizable characters. Adding more depth to them you could easily have a soap opera here, a sort of, "As the Sam Turns" or "Edge of Freddie".

I would hyphenate "you're-out-of-work spy"

Nice exchange with dualing alphabets. Sam's commanding I'm "moving in" really works with the relationship you have built here.

Sheldon's ethnicity and the fan factor were nice touches.

There is a LOT going on in this chapter.

This Sam and Freddie are not the duo from the show, time passing could account for that.

The "shaved" business is incredibly effective.

The affection between the two, the connection is mildly intoxicating, certainly comforting.

I'm not sure Benson "finishes it" however. I've read it several times but that doesn't occur as I follow the text.

The idea that Sam has lived this Spartan, uhshaved, crudely filed life is a great bit of character portrature.

Again, the titilation is a powerful mechanism for holding both of them and the reader.

Loved the carnival ride imagery.
