I loved it!

I just started watching Smallville last week, so I went to the back of the archives to find a story to read first. You might not have thought about this story for years, but I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed it. You found something interesting to explore in the show, and I think fanfic is really the place to let the secondary characters sing. The story was well written, smart, and insightful. Thanks for writing this!

Wow, I never would have though of Chloe and Whitney, but when you really think about it... It works! It makes me wish there'd been more of them together on TV... LoL!

I loved all of it, just not too much of the potrayal of Lana cus I like both Chloe and her and you made Lana too OOC.

But other than that, good job! I'll def be checking out more C/W, so thanks for being my first!

Pete. Rocks. The. Cas-bah!

This by far has to be my favorite chapter. I loved all the other ones, mind. But this one was an entirity of loveliness. From the fact he didn't all suddly think her wonderful in the beginning and to the fact in the end she wants to strangle him, yet I do believe she is starting to think on him as something worthing keeping around. On a possibly one minute a day basis lol But it's improvement!

I like how he compared the familys. Like how he's thinking on Lana instead of letting her walk all over him. And I like how she's there for him, Chloe, unexpected. The way it's intended but not in some perfect way. I have such a migraine right now and I can't get it out right. But it's just beyond good. This entire scene seemed so perfectly real. So HUMAN. I wanted to kiss it. It didn't seem like fiction by a fan, or a scene from the show but like a happening that any stranger could have glanced upon. Not understanding anything but seeing, and realizing an entirity. Wonderful. And forgive the bad spelling lol

How you played them so well!

Lana only thinking about herself, but not in a selfish way. I don't like the chick but I'm not blind enough to say she's evil. She has potential. She's just .. it's not her fault. The town made sure all revolved around her. Can't blame her ... much.

Clark jumping to her defence and only seeing pretty Lana, BUT regretting his words only too late. YET still only staying to comfort her. When she's not even his good friend.

Chloe understanding all this, or trying to, but being stubborn. And feeling like shit when she shouldn't have to ... and getting hurt again.

It's Whitney that I liked the best. It was unexpected and Idk if I'd say plausible, not if you think early episodes, but later on when he started to get a bit jaded. If he'd been around more ... I think he woulda have been hero-boy in the normal sense of the word. If you get what I mean? Sometimes I make no sense. But I just like that you have him a bit wicked and so wonderfully flawed. Not perfectly flawed like some batman reject (though I do love the Bruce!). He's simply a teenage boy and that is wondeful.

I love Clex to pieces. More than I love Chitney and almost as much as I love Chlex and Clois but I have to say ... LOL Chloe and Whitney making fun of the two of them? Especially of how Lex is with Clark? It's SPOT on! Made me love them a bit more. Whitney has subtle snark. I like to see it in ff. It's fun :-D

The entire listing of the flaws. It was so obviously freeing. I love the tentative connection, it had to form. That whole thing wouldn't allow for a not stronger bond. The forcing of Lana/Clark in their face was a smart move. Not for any relationship or anything, but for an empathy bond of sorts. The Football Hero and The Ace Reporter are just not as different as they think. They're human. Unlike the Perfect Duo, who AREN'T so perfect. And maybe the two will help the other realize that. I so like the way this is going.

On another note I found it super-funny. And super-accurate. I love how you drew so much of Whitney from the little they gave him. Well at least *I* think they gave him little lol

And on Pete? Thank you for having him there and in the background but not ignoring him and making him seem like mister Lame-o. You give him presence. He is so Pete.

She was petite enough that it was a rare occasion indeed to stare down at anyone, but she did it with much aplomb and heavy petulance nonetheless.

That like was perfect. Descriptive and fitting.

Oh and yay for Walt Whitman! I had to say that *g*

Yes! Yes! YES! *does a little dance* Spent ALL day looking for a more than passable whitney/chloe fic. I do believe I've found it. Already I can tell that this going to be so good! Whitney is clueless and tetchy. And Chloe is Chloe so naturally tetchy. The dialouge is sharp. He's sweet. And just .. he makes me giggle. And she makes me laugh in exact Chloe style. And Clark IS so gonna kill her and I can just HEAR principal Kwan cackling in my head. I know I am rambling but I already like this so much!

i love the whitney chloe pairing. I miss whitney. I think that he and chloe would have made a nice couple but it would have left Lex and Pete to their own devices once the CLANA HAPPENED

I love this fic. I read it on your site, but had to come over to to leave a review (and re-read).

I'd never even considered Chloe and Whitney together, but i now i wish i could see the 'ship in Smallville. It would kick ass. they ahve so much in common from regected by Lana/clark perspective, even if their social interests are different.
