I promise you, the Yeti animatronic is really there! A few months after it opened, the Yeti was switched from A-Mode (moving the way it should) to B-Mode where a strobe effect is used to illuminate the figure and cause a jump-scare; this happened because the Yeti's metal frame is too heavy for its movements and began cracking. You have to look up to see it, as it doesn't move, and the strobes can make it difficult to see clearly. Joe Rohde, the Imagineer who led the creation of the Expedition Everest, said at the 2013 D23 Expo that it would take the ride going down for a massive renovation for the Yeti to be repaired and switched back into A-Mode, sadly.

anyways, regarding the Yeti conspiracy: as a person who is appoaching their 100th visit to WDW, I can confirm that there is indeed a Yeti in the Expedition Everest ride. After the second hill, you can see him in strobe lighting just before you drop again. Cool fact: the Yeti is built into the mountain itself as a feature; orignially, for about the first year or so, he would move around and try to "grab" passengers, but he broke down, and since fixing him would require the removal of a large portion of the surrounding mountain, they just left him be, putting the strobe lights in as a means to make it look like he's moving. I have a gopro video on my youtube channel that catches the beast, and every video I have ever seen of the ride has a relatively clear view of him. During some seasons, however, the lights are off for some reason, and without the lighting it is nearly impossible to see him (you can still hear the Yeti roar as you pass him by, though)
I have really appreciated this fic so far, it has been extremely accurate and well-written compared to other fics involving fandom characters going to disney. And I hope you get to go to Disney Quest sometime, it's a real treat! Keep up the great work!

I love this story. I've only read up to chapter 8 but so far it's really well written. I was so happy when Booth bought the Disney dollars (it's been a long time since they stopped selling them and I do miss them and I had a slight fangirl moment when booth and bones went on the Haunted Mansion. Although there is a part in the chapter where you put that they were going down the secret elevator. Well the Haunted Mansion in California does use an elevator in the stretching room but in Florida the "ceiling" of the stretching room actually moves upward. The reason the one in California uses an elevator is because they needed to move guests under the train tracks of the Disneyland railroad. Let me finish this before I go on a Disney rant. Awesome job :)

Wonderful story: great casework, hilarious fun with Disney, Angela was spot-on without being a caricature of herself, and a sweet magical ending.

i just got back from Disney on Angela I LOVED rock n roller coaster and tower of terror. But i have to agree with Angela and not like Everest i absolutely hated it. Oh and BTW Love the story even if i can't look at Pirates of the carribean the same way. :)
