good story! i never really thought much about pettigrew, but you captured his character very well. great job! have a happy new years!

This is a fantastic Pettigrew. I think you really captured him, and while he's still not a sympathetic character, he's got more than one dimension now, and it's fascinating to see the words behind the actions.

I'd go apeshit if you added more chapters to the story, maybe like a reverse-chapter, Memento-esque kind of first-person. Effing cool, either way. Please keep writing!

that was a really great insight into Peter's character and decisions! Very honest and believable. Well done

Good story. You did an excellent job of capturing not only Peter's reasons for betraying the Potters, but how much self-loathing this guy is full of. I also like the similarities you drew between Peter's desire to do anything to survive to that of a rat's. I did think you went overboard on the f-word. I'm not a prude or anything, I just think using it so much took away from any impact it had. You may want to go through here and probably cut out at least half of them.
