| Mighty Agamemnon chapter 1 . 10/9/2014 Awwww...this was such a cute fic! I love Romano's denial and Spain's obliviousness (and I'm sooo glad you just kept it at "oblivious" and not "stupidity" like some other fics) and eventual realization. The whole fic was so realistically written and wonderfully described! But...lol...I really do hate how Himaruya made the entire Hetalia fandom think that England was always beating up Spain when that very much NOT the case. Spain got revenge for the fall of his armada when he beat England's Counter Armada the very next year! And along with many other battles before and after, he also famously THRAHSED England (actually the UK by then) at the Battle of Cartagena de Indias in 1741 and that was the REAL reason why the UK pulled out of the War of Austrian Succession. So it's pretty unfair when fics portray Spain as "always losing to England" when that wasn't what happened. But other than that...this was very well done! And I also love Spain/UK (when people recognize Spain's power over England as well!) and Spain/Prussia too! Good job! |

Like, in most Romano narrated stories it's glaringly obvious how deep he is in denial, but here he is was more logical which makes it even better. The ending was really sweet too; Spain isn't a oblivious as one might think :) |
