I know it’s been years since you wrote this, and a couple years since you published anything on the site, but that last little bit is a one shot I’d love to see- Buffy meeting Robin Wood in this universe. I love this story.

Wow, ok... so I don't even know where to begin. I've read a lot of fanfiction, and I can say with absolute certainty that this is the best fanfic I have ever read about any show/story. The dialogue is AMAZING. Everything has felt absolutely canon.
I recently finished the television series, and have been slowly making my way through the comics. I was so, so sad with how it ended (I know Spike is alive, but like, not too great in the closure department-at least not pre- finishing the comics). I looked up fanfiction to get a little more of that closure, and this fanfic popped up as the top favorited of all the stories out there on Spuffy. My expectations were high, and you surpassed them completely. Reading this was absolutely addictive, and I binged my way through it in 4 days. I can't imagine what your followers went through as you were posting between June and September (and I'm really grateful for being able to binge through after the big finish).
The time and care you put into this is obvious from every word in this story. Everyone who has and will read this is so blessed to have your talents applied to this long-term work that you did freely and without reward outside the favorites and reviews of those following you.
I just wanted to send you a huge thank you for all of this. This has been the best novel I've read in a hot minute-which is astounding and delightful given that it's fanfiction. It's given me the closure I've needed with Spuffy. And I can't wait to read through Dust and your other content (which I'm sure I will fall in love with as well). I know thousands of people must have already said this, but you are absolutely amazing. I hope that you do or will dedicate your talents to becoming a published author. You clearly have a gift for it-from your phenomenal dialogue, your exceptional/enticing smut scenes, and your incredible story-line (which was your own and deviated from the show in amazing and unexpected ways while still incorporating it and the Buffyverse).

simply the best fanfiction I have ever read, ever. the way the show should have ended. author channels each of the characters incredibly well! simply flawless!

the only super minor complaint I have is that sometimes the expressions usedsuss out,of the [adjectivebreak immersion, but everything else more than makes up for it. 10 sharply-whittled-by-Xander stakes out of 10!

I have read this fic about 5 or 6 times and it gets better every time. I love how true you stayed to the characters And the spirit of the show. It is so well written and thought out. Thank you for sharing it!

I feel like I should leave a long word he review but I believe the proof is in the putting. If you just stumbling upon this story my best advice to you is to read it, you will not be disappointed.

I love your characters development. First I felt like your Buffy was shallow but after giving it a lot of thought I realize that’s the way that she was painted even in the series. Xander is an idiot across-the-board. But I do understand what you mean about he has a good heart and he’s just looking out for his friends he’s just a little ignorant while he does it. Your other supporting cast members were great I enjoyed them as well. Thanks for giving Anja a voice, I think people downplay her importance to the series. I kept expecting Lydia to go bad. As always Spike need a standing ovation thank you for sharing your version of ole William.

I wanted to write a long-ass review but it's 1 AM and I just finished this and all I can say is the amount of effort you put into writing this is amazing. You captured the voices of every single character SO perfectly, especially Buffy and Spike. Your creation of the prophecy and the entire plotline that ran through this fic was so believable in terms of the show that it could have legit been a season and I wouldn't have questioned it. The development of Buffy and Spike's relationship was also realistic. And ah! Mr Gordo. (spoilers)

I loved that despite guessing that he would be Spike, when it was revealed that he was him was still so powerful. Spike's POV through his journal was again such a unique way to approach fanfiction writing. And the poetry! The way you created poems in the style William/Spike would've written themI don't know how you did it, just brilliant.

A very original epic. 10/10 would recommend

I have not finished reading this fic yet and wanted to post my review when I reached the end. I'll write a bigger review at the end but for now I just wanted to say that this is one of the most beautifully thought out and meticulously crafted stories I have ever read. It just has so many layers. The poem by Wilcox is such a perfect summation of Buffy and Spike, their relationship with each other and the running themes and motifs of this story. I'm laughing at the unintended words like 'effulgent' in this poem and wondering if this poem itself caused you to write this chapter (and maybe this entire fic) or was it just a coincidence you found a poem so apt. I aspire to be able to write like this. I don't know if you will read this or not, but if you do, just wanted to say, thank you.

This was AWESOME! This was an epic alternative to S5, leaving Dawn and Glory out completely, and still managed to be as tightly written as the original.
