I really liked this fic. It captures Dak'kon's character perfectly in few words. It also has some beautifully descriptive metaphors and I enjoyed the abruptness of the ending as well as how rain ties the whole tale together. Great story.

You gotta love Dak'kon: helpful in a fight, difficult in helping you restore your forgotten memories. This was really a great read, short and sweet, telling a story simply by setting us up at the bloody end of it. I did feel that githzerai behavior and thinking patterns were absent from Dak'kon in this story, which is something I completely understand: githzerai are so strange compared to us, it's difficult to write from their perspective. But the ending was perfectly in synch with the Nameless One, and I did have a bit of a "Oh yeah!" at seeing Dak'kon and the loveable amnesiac reunited again. Good work!

I am sad to see a lack of PST fanfiction anywhere, so was thrilled to see this. As others have said, you manage to capture the imagery and tone of the game, though the writing can be slightly confusing. Definitely an enjoyable read.

Nice little story. Vivid descriptions that do remind you of the fantastics vistas of the game, and the feeling of frustration at the post-mortem amnesia is

Man, I love how you do Dak'kon. I've never been good at getting into silent warrior types' heads, so usually I just let them be quiet like they usually are and no one is any the wiser.

But YOU pull it out and show how you can really show a character simply by the way he moves. There are very few times when you get into his thoughts, but even without them the way he acts shows just how used to this he really is.

Now I'm beginning to wonder how they got separated between here and the actual game. Hmmmm...

Either way, amazing stuff. I'll have to start thinking about maybe putting up my own things here later.

What can I say? I like it.

Some of the writing could be cleaned up a bit, but the atmosphere is great and the ending's pretty awesome.

Hm. I'm surprised there aren't any more Planescape stories on here.

An interesting piece of writing with a little weird ending. Or maybe it simply shows that what one may see as loyality is slavery for the other.

P.S. Planescape at last has its own sub-category. Cool.

Odd that no one has reviewed this story. I found the writing excellent and the tone just right for Planescape Torment. The text would benefit from a little polish here and there, but really, its pretty solid and has some beautiful (or horrible, depending on your perspective) imagery. I'm guessing no more chapters were written due to the lack of attention this first installment received, a pity...
