Hmm.. this is turning into a different sort of story than I thought. I expected independent Harry making a stand and finding his own smarts. Yet Harry is still a kid and Dumbles is bad and everyone is starting to wake upto that. Its a lot less Harry than I hoped. Not bad certainly, just unexpected from the summary. And Im in the mood for strong Harry

Does Harry still have magic? Did he take out everything from gringotts as he isnt a potter anymore?

I understand It's been awhile but please find your muse. Maybe check under the bed. This is a really good story. ... but I hate cliff hangers.

I hope you’ll come back and continue this story! Will Simon tell Ron and Hermione what’s actually going on? Given Kingsley’s reaction to the dead body, do the Aurors already suspect that Harry is still alive and underwent this procedure? Will Harry/Simon figure out what’s weird about his magic and/or wand? I’ve never been a huge fan of Percy ships, but you managed to make him pretty hot. I don’t know why Harry would be drawn to his company after never liking him much before, unless it’s just hormones and the exciting discovery of his own true sexuality. If it’s deeper than that, maybe you can make their personal bond clearer if you write more? Unless it’s just going to be smut between them, which could be a nice diversion in the story too, haha. I don’t really trust the goblins with their attitudes, but I hope that Harry will prove to be a really good curse-breaker and that he’ll learn some things that could help him defeat Voldemort. I don’t think Harry’s really the type to go seeking out a cold kill, but in his new body he could have an advantage with the surprise factor, and he could pretend to be interested in becoming a Death Eater and then just assassinate Voldemort or something...unless the Horcrux/scar-connection transferred with his soul and magic, which would alert V that Harry is alive and out there somewhere...? Anyways, there are so many possibilities for this story and even though it’s been a few years, I hope you’ll come back and let us know what happens to Simon and everyone else!

The story was going great until Severus started interfering. He had been a complete arse to Harry all these years but now he is shifting the blame completely on dumbles?! And then to threaten dumbles with truth! Did he ever stop and think that Harry would not like to be remembered as an abused kid and give that satisfaction to snape, Malfoy and Voldie. Dumbles deserves worse than dementors kiss, I agree. But outing the truth about Harry’s abusive childhood when he’s not there to defend himself is just plain wrong. Dumbles and snape should both rot in hell and Harry seems happy with Percy :)

I love new Harry! Not a fan of how shrilly and shrieky you've mad Hermione though!
