This story was absolutely brilliant! As haveunotthought put it, I would definitely go and buy the book! You have very nicely found answers to many of those questions that bothered me after watching the A2A finale (although it was very, very good): how could Alex simply move on and leave Gene behind, how will Gene ever be able to enter the pub and what will happen to his kingdom if he does, who killed him and how is Molly able to cope with her mothers death? If they ever decide to make a movie or a special episode about A2A, they should use this fanfic as a script!

I have just read this whole story at one sitting and it is absolutely wonderful! I am in awe of the way you have interwoven the different times and storylines to make such a superbly satisfying whole. The detective work to identify Gene and his killer in the present day is brilliantly done, and I love the linking-in to Molly, slowly coming to terms with her mother's death, and the bewildered DI Collins. I have to admit that I guessed that Chris would be the young copper on Henderson's conscience, but I didn't expect the twist of Henderson coming to 1983 to replace Gene and bring the messages from 2008. That is so clever. And how wonderful to have the Manchester and London teams united with Litton to intercept the Brinks-Mat robbery. I adore this fic! Please write more A2A stories when you can.

This was a work of art; I read it all in one go and I would go out and buy the book! Very clever to twist all three story lines into one conclusion and keep everyone in character. My real shock was how the other young copper shot was Chris Skelton and that makes Henderson so suitable for the geneverse.

Just read this all in one go! I love how you structured this, with all the different strands of the story winding together- it was incredibly well written and formed! Also, this particular line made me laugh a lot, it's so unbelievably perfect! xD
