A very interessting idea to let the "new" prince look into the mirror. I always loved the idea of using mirrors to visualise the inner self and soul.

A very interesting look at Beast's post transformation mindset.

This is good character study. I'd like to show it to anyone who thinks he should have remained a Beast and say, "Look, he's the same man! And now he's happy!"

By the way, I've gotten used to many different names for him. I like Alexander as much as anything else.

I like the ageing thing and I think I just like to hear alexander/the beast's voice. in the movie it just seems way too sudden and then the movie finishes and then that's all. so i like hearing extra :)

My theory is that the Enchantress (or Merlin rather) stopped the time of the servants as a mercy. After all, the curse was because of the Beast's inner problems and they were casualties of it. They didn't have any choice on being cursed into objects and many were even trapped into a single room for years because of it. The Beast probably aged as a mercy for what ever young lady might end up breaking the spell; after all, not many women would be happy marrying a fourteen year old after knowing him as an adult (sort of).

I loved it! You know, I always have wondered what the Beast would think when he saw himself in the mirror for the first time, after ten long years. I mean, he was a boy when he was changed into a beast, and now that ten years have gone by, and he's back to being a human, he's got to be pretty shocked that he's a man. I love how you went deep into Alexander's feelings (I think that name is great!) and showed how he really felt about all of this going on, instead of just brushing over it.

I'm going to read your other stories right now; they sound really interesting!

Lovely! You know, I like the name Alexander better. I guess because it's a genuine royal name, unlike Vincent or Adam (although there is one Spanish-Polish prince with the latter name). Alexander sounds more noble, and the prince in the movie looks a lot like an Alexander.

Lumière looked, if possible, even more confused. "Of course, Master. You have improved…remarkably. The lack of hair alone is—"

"No." Alexander shook his head. "I mean, from before. Before the spell. Am I…different?"

Alexander is very sweet, quite child-like actually for a man of 25, but this is to be expected I guess. I like how he still has a bit of a streak for breaking the rules in him. I never really thought about the changing face idea and why he ages but his servants don't (Chip being an obvious example), but I like the relatively simple explanation that Lumiere offers in this)
