Just finished reading and I loved the struggle Morgan have over Penelope and Vanessa. Beautifully written. PLEASE tell me there us another part. PLEASE!;

You left it with him having a physical relationship with Vanessa and an emotional connection with Penelope...and nothing beyond he closeness from the show...not cool...It was a great retro-speculative fic about Morgan but come on...he either lives in the past with Vanessa because it seemed like she was, recreating prom night and all, or in the now with someone he can actually have in his life as in the entirety of his life. To paraphrase Rossi

I can't believe that Derek just hopped into bed with her without an explanation of the past. Not all men think with their dicks. If they all do then it's a pretty sad world we are living in. There has to be some good men out there. Did he not know the consequences of his actions? Didn't he know how this would make Penelope feel or was he just wrapped up into Vanessa? Did he forget what happened with Vanessa? How hurt he was? I just can't believe he would do that.

I don't understand 1) Dave and how he can say pen is not for derek and 2) Who Morgan fall asleep thinking of. Argh i'm so confused i was loving it up to this point please make it make sense to me.

So, I was going to finally finish reading today but things keep happening . . .

Anyway, Geeez, Pen is such a baby. ;) I mean I think your portrayal of her is exceptionally believable. Granted, on the show she's this happy-bubbly BabyGirl and here she's crying and scrapping her leg and whatnot but somewhere at the core she's exactly the same person. Great job!

I can see why Derek would want to be with her, given his protective nature but this relationship is everything but healthy.

As for Vanessa . . . I don't know. She seems like a very confident girl but I think it's better for the both of them to not be together. I think Derek would soon see how independent she is and I'm not sure he would be okay with that.

I wonder how it all ends so I'll finish reading eventually. ;)

I agree with jrfanfrommo and onetreefan. To me it didnt really conclude the story. Derek is leading on 2 women into believing that there might be a possible relationship. He leads Penelope on more especially with how she is in that last chapter. Vanessa is a great original character but I think its better for Derek to be with Pen. The story is great and your a wonderful writer.

It was definitely a plausible and realistic ending. I thought that it was a brilliant ending for a well thought out and beautifully written piece. I enjoyed Vanessa although my shipper heart leaned more towards MG. I kinda thought that you would probably end the piece like this. Nevertheless, it was a very memorable story. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Deanne, I love that you concluded the story this way. For Garcia fans they can imagine how it works out. For Vanessa fans they can take what they want too... To do a sequel may upset fans, and they certainly have responded less than favourably to Vanessa. You promised us Drama and Angst and you delivered that in bucket loads.

I would love to see you write a new Morgan, Garcia story. Thank you for making my day with your chapters even if i didnt like some of the things in it I love your writing.

This will be more a review of the whole story than the last chapter.

But I start with the end. "dreaming of the women he loved" That is the perfect ending to your awesome story. It is one of the best fanfictions I have ever read. It is almost too good for fanfiction.

You did am amazing job with the characterisations of Derek and Garcia. Garcia is Dereks strenght. She keeps him loves her and will always love her. Vanessa is a likeable and original character and I can totally understand why Derek still loves her. He loves both women.

The parts of the story with Dereks family were very believable and added an interesting side plot to the main story.

Dereks visit to the places of his youth and his memories of the good and the bad parts of his life in Chicago were fascinating to read.

Bringing Rossi into the story in the last chapter gets you a big plus from me . I love the Morgan/Rossi friendship.

Again, this is an awesome fanfiction. I hope to read more from you soon. You are a great writer.

Wow. What a complicated web you have left us. Good story, but not a lot of closure. Does that mean there is a sequel in the works? I like this a lot and I am glad Derek didn't end up with Vanessa. I absolutely hated her. No offense. Her character development and impact on Derek's life was brilliant. However, she got in the way. LOL. Fantastic piece of writing. It really makes you think. :)

Ahhhh Awesome story.. its upsetting however still amazing writing.
