Well, I absolutely love this series you have going with the father-son bond between Rush and Eli and since I see that you haven't updated this story since *looks and winces* /nigh on 2 years/...I am not above begging you - on my knees - to continue it. You can't just leave it hanging like this! Not when Rush has - hopefully for him - subdued It (the alien creature)! Not when everything is starting to get really interesting (and intense)! Besides, it sounds like you already know what will happen next in the story (since you know almost certainly how many chapters there are left) and - forgive me if I offend you with this - it would be incredibly /stupid/ to stop now. Please, please, please - keep up the absolutely fantastic work and continue the story!

So please, please, please, I am /begging/ you - write and post the next chapter a.s.a.p.! I really, really, really want to see what happens next!...'...

Please, please update soon. I love this story and I would love to see reaction of everybody on ship when they find out whose Elis father is 8o)))

Comment on chapter 1: [amused sarcasm] Gee, I wonder why he's mellowed out as much as he has. Let me guess, Eli is the main source of making him "thaw-out and becoming less of an insensitive jerk." :) [sing song-y] Being a father is making him guilty :D.

"Rush passes by the mose luxurious of rations," - that was a complete 180 from the end of Familial Bonds with his "deserving real food for his part in" the fighting scheme thing. Or, I'm guessing, Rush is supposed to be taken over by the strange entity thing for the past few days?

Something to add to your muse, if you haven't thought of it, I would really like to see the crew's reaction once they find out that Eli and Rush are related :).

I hope you continue with the story soon.

I really like the whole father/son relationship idea. I thought that Rush could be Eli's father figure/mentor, but actually father and son biologically is a very cool story idea.

Let's see how long I can keep my muses as bay or if I post anything for SG:U. If I do, it may be inspired by your story :).

I have enjoyed your stories and find that re-reading them bring about something new, but I may have to hurt you if you don't stop teasing me and tell me what is going on. Really I would'nt hurt you I need you to feed my addiction to Rush fanfiction. So feed me. Please, pretty please.

First of all, WOW!

This story is really turning out great. Eli seems to be coming into his own a little, which is really nice to see. Ingenious insight on Rush - I never really thought of the character in quite that way before. I love Eli's reaction to the message, but I have to wonder how Young intends to fight light wavelengths and computer code. I have to admit, when It started with the whole tentacles thing, I though It was trying to strangle him - but having what I'm guessing is a somewhat telepathic shapeshifter alien appear as his dead wife, I'm pretty sure gave us all that HOLY CRAP feeling.

I have a feeling that Scott will be able to see this alien thing now, or have some other type of sight...or he'll just go back to normal. That's one thing I really like about your stories - they seem to go against all the patterns that I've seen in other fics. You keep us guessing.

I love this story line. The story is creative and the writing is good. I would LOVE to read more along these lines. This chapter felt like a set up for something far more in depth - like your other stories have been. There is no closure, no tying up of the information - we are just given a taste of what happens. While I really like the taste you leave me wanting so much more! Do you plan to return to this?
