Cute chapter, though I really wonder why Orochimaru would go after Sasuke in a risky and discoverable move like infiltrating the exams when there's an entire clan to pick off at his leisure while out on missions. It doesn't make sense in a non-massacre universe.

Of course, that's not really the point of this fic, so I'm just quibbling pointlessly. Ignore my ramblings. :-)

I miss young sakusasu too! It's stories like these that make me smile, unlike the events that's actually taking place in the manga.

And this chapter was really sweet too and there's definitely a contrast between the massacre and nonmassacre version, especially with Sasuke's personality and beliefs - I really enjoyed that you changed him (not too much, but to an appropriate amout), since most people tend to keep him in the same way in both massacre and nonmassacre versions.
