This is absolutely gorgeous.
madis hartte chapter 1 . 10/28/2011
If there was no Rory (and hence no River) this is the way I'd want the story to go. . Beautifully done.
Athyna DaughterofPosiedon chapter 1 . 9/18/2011
That was brilliant! Their scrambled code was amazing! "kumquat holiday under scaffolding bridges brings caramel." YES!
Jimi Keys chapter 1 . 9/17/2011
Can I just say, that I love all of your work with an intensely passionate delight? Because I do, I really do. There is no words to describe how much these little 11/Amy stories of yours make me happy. They're like chocolate for the eyes. They all seem to carry the whimsical, wonderful essence of their relationship in Season 5. I love it.

I know I probably sound like a sap, but. Just. Thanks for writing. :'D
Born-Of-Elven-Blood chapter 1 . 6/20/2011
This is such a lovely story, its so beautifully written! I love the slice-of-life simplicity that is so profound and so touching! I was sad to see it end, but I think it was the perfect length! Great story, instant favorite!
ruatcaelum chapter 1 . 5/12/2011
Oh my goodness, everything about this story is GENIUS. From the beautifully comical little anecdotes you created to the EMOTION that came through in the motif of silence, this was soo beautiful! It's quite literally made my week. Well done! 33
Ash chapter 1 . 3/29/2011
Most fan-fics about Eleven and Amy are all shmaltzy and wierd, but yours are just right. Hopefully, Stephen Moffat will read this and take the hint- everyone wants those to to get-and stay- together.

Awesome work- love the thing about the scrambler!
Sandi chapter 1 . 3/3/2011

Minuialeth chapter 1 . 10/1/2010
Wow, this was a beautiful read. I Like how everything is suggested, written both lightly and deeply.

And this whole paragraph is the kind that can't be read only once:

"she can't suppress a shiver at the thought that her bright, quick-footed Doctor is only the shine of thin ice over deep water. In him are depths of time and memory vast enough to drown her, death and regret enough to slow the spin of stars, things that he can't ever tell her because there aren't words for them in any language she'd understand, and even if there were he wouldn't use them because they would be strong enough to break listener and speaker both –"

It reminds me of the now famous "He's like fire and ice and rage..." tirade from "Family of Blood", that's how good it is.
ArgetlamShadowmoon chapter 1 . 9/15/2010
I liked this.
kimbo-smarties chapter 1 . 8/29/2010

jumpfall chapter 1 . 8/26/2010
Like all of your other Doctor Who fics (I've been devouring this alphabet series!), this is lovely. I've been meaning to review for awhile now but finally got around to doing it. I *think* this is my favourite of the lot, but I can't say so for sure, because my mind changes every five minutes. I've really been enjoying how each piece is separate and distinct, with a unique feel to it (even between halves in decutient/essomenic), yet they're woven together in the series with the title/definition theme. They are all carefully crafted masterpieces.

You have a distinctive style as a writer that is just a joy to read. I love this method of showing a handful of seemingly unrelated scenes that are loosely tied together by a common idea running throughout. Characterization is pitch-perfect throughout; you have a great handle on both their characters and how they interact.

Favourite line (well, there are some other gems I've left out, so I'll say top five at the very least): "Nevertheless, the people there have been using the phrase jauntily candlesticks in their marriage rite, as a prayer for luck and love, for fifteen hundred years." Not only does it make for a really sweet (& I use that word in all the best of ways) ending, the snippets about the scholars and wise men of the planet debating its meaning were some of my favourite. They rang true, looking at how academics and scholars have debated the underlying meanings of literature throughout history - the line about how the wisest of them recognized the Doctor's nonsense as further nonsense was an especially nice touch.

In short, these pieces really brightened up my day. I can't wait to see what you have in mind for the rest of the series!

okay, I had to join the site here so I could tell you how much I'm enjoying this series. Do you have these stories up on Teaspoon too? They are rather fantastic.
