This was terrific! Great premise and I really enjoyed the way the team came together for those kids and for Eliot. And Eliot letting his cooking speak for him is perfect.

I really enjoyed this! I know our gang is full of really quirky personalities and they talk in a language that's totally their own, but you captured it really well. And I loved Elliot begrudingly allowing himself to have a few feelings that didn't involve anger:P

That was a lovely story :)

You had everyone's voices and mannerisms completely in character, particularly Eliot and Parker. I loved how Parker wanted to help him - and the children - but her first thought was so 'her' and therefore so utterly inappropriate!

The fact they then went and did something practical to help, without letting Eliot know until afterwards, was just perfect and really very sweet. You highlighted the bond between them without ever making it mushy or over the top. I wonder if Nate knew about it all? I can imagine him staying out of it but keeping an eye on the whole thing and maybe making a few suggestions.

There were many lines and scenes I could highlight as favourites but in the end I chose this one as it was just so perfectly Eliot & Parker:

"I went and planted files instead of stealing them and it was all really exciting because this lady asked me questions and I answered them and I think I did all right because she let me go and maybe I can do grifting after all and we didn't even steal those kids but they are still going to be better I think!"

There's a pause while he mentally reruns that with commas and full stops inserted. She's playing with his hair, which is a little distracting.

Great job - I thoroughly enjoyed it.

How incredibly sweet was that! And very IC, all the way around. Love the closeness of Eliot an Parker, so comfortable with eachother and the way Eliot couldnt quite say thank you but does in his own way with food. Great fic.

That cut me to my core in a few places. When they were waiting for him to tell about his sister, I was right there with them holding my breath. What he implied about his sister made my heart break a little bit, and I think its sweet what Parker was trying to do for him, because it was him. Im off to read more!
