This is seriously one of my favorite Phoenix/Maya fanfics. ;3; The way you describe their first night and the emotions and sadness that goes with parting is really lovely. (And you keep them in character, too!) Really great job. :')

Oh. My. Gosh. THAT WAS SO ADORABLE. I really loved it. I've played all the games and I just wondered if Capcom had ever meant for there to be any connection between Phoenix and Maya. But I came here instead:3. I seriously almost cried at some parts. I wish they would have made them get together or form some kind of closure...but this is good enough! :)

Just the right kind of darkness and angst for AJ:Phoenix, in my opinion. Just the right level of cute/awkward for he and Maya as well, to be honest! Was super satisfying to see them depicted like this!

Oh wow, this was awesome. Somehow I managed to read through half of this before even noticing that you were writing, but I guess I should have guessed.

The narration was just so well done. It was sad (up until the end, of course), but I could definitely see Nick thinking all of the thoughts that were written down here, and all-around the characterization was excellent.

I just stumbled on to your story, and it was just really amazing. Phoenix and Maya just seem so awkward most of the time and you captured them very well xD And the ending was quite adorable. This was a wonderful read! _

My favorite part of this chapter is the description of Maya's lack of grace. Instead, you've made her level of exuberance attractive and I love that. One of my pet peeves is that so many authors choose to make Maya graceful as she matures, something that as an ungraceful gal myself who runs around in sandals most of the year and can not walk in heels makes me feel doomed to the "goofy chick" category. Seeing a clumsy, yet loving Nick and Maya should give all klutzy gals (like me)a reason to smile. :)
