You even could try an other way around with school idea...
...like he is class president and top student who is all level headed and nice and calm. ..what can change at some point with her ...and she is a dreamer or maybe even artist or writer who acts badass and diligent or trains dogs/horses ...because she doesn't understand that behavior is wrong or she wants to act like this to keep people away ...or because someone was mean and put the class up to be mean too somewhere in the past...who wanders from school to school because of this -

A very fun and nice story - I did love how kagome and inuyasha acted as teacher...they did not bad;) and the surprise with that the two who did fight and spat words where at rhe beginning where two of there students-

Totally loved the little twist in the story and the little OCCness was not even that noticeable. I totally loved how Sam broke Brad's nose lol This story was just so cute!

This plot is beautiful in its own way. It's an interesting change to see Inuyasha and Kagome not the main pairing/focus but rather have theirs developed in a less obvious way... I also liked the part where Cassie and Sam came together... *thumbs up* Good job!

This was very interesting to read. I don't think I've ever read a Inuyasha fanfic like this one. The characters were a bit more OCC than ur other stories, as you admitted, but surprisingly, I enjoyed reading it. And that's saying something, since I usually detest stories where Inuyasha is human or there is no time traveling to the Feudal Era.
