Is Beth Smith named after Bridge to Terabithia or Terebinthia, a location in Narnia? I'm writing my own fic in response to this and I want some idea how old Beth is.

If Hiko was 50 years old in 2010, that means he would have gone through a Medical Science Training Program. Those are meant to produce people capable of basic research who can see the potential applications for medicine much sooner. What was his major? Where did he go to school?

I can only imagine how he would have felt as a psychiatric resident in the 1980's with that kind of training. I was a moderator on Crazy Meds Talk and people told me stories of getting their bipolar disorder misdiagnosed as depression because they omitted details like, say, why they were in so much debt. Or how irritable their default mood was.

Oh ugh! I forgot about the getting out part, after you win the fight. Sheesh! What's up with Yumi calling Kenshin a murder? Talk about double standard.

Anyway, enjoyed the update. I don't know why, but I was a little surprised that Shishio had already killed his mother. But then he wasn't exactly expecting to lose either.

Wow, not only did Kenshin kill in the last chapter but it sounds like Sano did too. I guess it would be hard to picture all these guys coming at you with automatic rifles and think nobody is going to die.

Soujiro as savior, Tae will like that although I don't quite remember the details of Kenshin and Soujiro coming to an understanding. Guess I will have to go back and review that part. Anyway, exciting chapter but I imagine the aftermath is going to be very bad. I am glad that Hiko noticed how long Kenshin's mom was dead so that he can see that there was nothing he could do to fix that.

Oh man! This was such a fast moving chapter. I must admit my heart sank when they found Kenshin's mom dead. Sano behaved like the rock he is, and they have Soujiro in custody. You sort of knew Hiko would know where to strike, but overshadowing everything was the death of Kenshin's mom. Kenshin just can't get a break.

That...was just MEAN. Like, seriously and almost pathetically mean. Awesome. But (as I said before) mean as hell.
