Aw, this is so sweet. It reinds me of how my friend Christeen messed up my name when I met her, so now she calls me 'Sara' sometimes when my name is Sarah. Like with Ziva and Gibbs, it can mean any number of things, like 'quit it' or 'it'll be okay' or simply, as you pointed out, 'I love you.' You've captured that concept beautifully.

Ziver. A sweet nickname that comes so easily. It so true what it can mean.

I guess since I haven't seen but 1 episode from season 6 I never noticed Gibbs' nickname for Ziva. But this is so sweet! Now I want to watch s6 to hear him do it. He needs to start again.

Great little analysis of such a small but loaded word. Nicknames tend to have that effect... they come out first as a joke or an afterthought and then begin to fit the person and have so many meanings. Fantastic insight, loved it.
