The bit about people slandering Dumbledore was it a bit of Meta humor because a large chunk of fans somewhat hate him, because when his manipulations and flaws got revealed a lot felt betrayed, then some people saw Dumbledore in a new Light because of the revelations, some fans saw him as a malicious manipulator either for the Potter Fortune or Power, but In reality He was just an EXTREMELY Naive and Arrogant man, who thought he knew better than everybody.

Glad to see Dumbledore suffered for his mistakes. Honestly, dumping Harry on the doorstep of magic-hating muggles? It's a miracle he didn't turn like Tom Riddle.

I think that this was very well written. It was an eye opening story about what could have happened. I loved it.

I'm SO not a fan of angst, but I decided to give this a shot since it was just a one-shot. Not bad. I've gotta read or think up something light-hearted or even cracky to sleep without being annoyed by the sadness stuff (I like the two of them, Harry and Hermione, living happily ever after too much.)

All in all, I liked this. I'd have really enjoyed seeing this turn into a prologue for a time-travel story where Hermione could save Harry, though, and they could go back either together or just her to make things better.

Anyway, adieu and nicely done.

A very interesting view of what it? That is one of the many reasons I love the world of Harry Potter. There are so many directions the characters could go at any point. It will never get old! Thanks for sharing.

I really cannot figure out why Harry lived thru all the Dursleys did to him.

Yeah, Dumbledore's insultingly patronizing logic in placing Harry with abusive guardians and keeping him downtrodden and completely ignorant of his heritage just so that he won't develop into a spoiled brat is a clear sign of a man who has no idea about raising children and should have been slapped with a restraining order keeping him away from anyone underage decades ago...

Anyway, nice story. :)

I can almost see this as being an alternate ending for Harry..how he survived all those years of abuse and turned out to be a good guy is a miracle.
