*snickers* This is really well-written, and I *love* the final line. I can't even tell for sure what Sam means by making her pay (making her do all the paperwork? driving her nuts with UST?) but I love it. I've always been suspicious of his "I didn't ask to train a rookie" line, anyway - figuring there was a pretty good chance that Sam was lying there. It makes too much sense. (I've read fics that had Boyko partnering them as a weird sense of humor, but this works just as well or better.) Nicely done! :)

You may be on the fence about that one but I LOVED it, loved it, loved it! You captured Sam's essence and struggles in a few short sentences and you integrated the episode script perfectly!
