I love how different Rebecca and Riza are from each other, and the way that shows in how they approach their careers and their lives - Rebecca's "very detailed life plan" versus Riza's... whatever-it-is.

This is beautiful. Wonderfully paced, to the point you can almost most feel a heart beat. The relationship between Riza and Rebecca is beautifully observed and both are in character. Well done and thank you for sharing.

I loved this oneshot, but is it bad that my main thoughts on it were horror at the prospect of Rebecca plotting world domination? Because she would totally do it, too. MAKE WAY FOR FUHRER CATALINA!

Excellent friendship fic. Nice to see a portrait of Riza before finding a place with Team Mustang (one that's not simply angst over her father & abandonment) and to have a deeper study of Rebecca. Both characters feel authentic.

Prose is cleanly written and paced well.

That was beautiful! It was so well written, and I absolutely loved the insight into Riza's cadet life. I really love the friendship development between her and Rebecca, and of course, the references to Mustang without even having to name him. Instant favorite, amazing job!

I'm normally too petty to review when I read something new, but I think it's completely ridiculous that this only got one comment so far. There should be far more stories like this - not many people have the courage to go in-depth about underappreciated characters like Rebecca. Thank you, THANK YOU for stepping up and not only writing about this unlikely friendship, but writing it well and with your usual fantastic use of language. :) Could we maybe see more stories using Rebecca from you in the future? There aren't nearly enough.

Brilliant. Utterly believable and completely in character for both riza and rebecca. I love your description of how they met and riza's thoughts on the importance of being respected and how rebecca and her easygoing nature turn that on it's head. Your attention to detail is great and this story is so beautifully written, it flows so effortlessly. I love it. :)
