Thank you for writing this amazing story. I was hooked from beginning to end. I am a season 1 John devotee so I must be honest but I never thought he could be that abusive towards Sammy. The devil's trap was cool though... For half a second...but then I did think shape shifter and I was right! Loved the story for all sorts of different reasons. Sam is amazingly well portrayed in all his abject misery, Dean is heroic ( and he should be!), Pastor Jim does contribute greatly to the "really?" Moments and John is absolutely superb. I adore the ending. He, for once in his life drops the military drill sergeant bit and actually says he is proud of both his boys. This scene was sweeter than honey. It was what Dean and Sam needed and had been needing for so many years. Powerful and beautifully written.

What a wonderful job you did of creating a voice for Pastor Jim! The intricacies of the story were fascinating with each John-related twist you skillfully planned, and I admit to having tears in my eyes during this last chapter. Bravo!

You almost have me in tears. The ending is fantastic, and definitely my favorite part. The entire time I was waiting for the hugging, and you delivered it in a grand finale. Great job!

Exceptionally well written. It was awesome to be able to watch the written "movie" in my mind's eye as I was reading what was happening. You have a gift with words. Something I would love to have. Write some more would be awesome.

Very good. The last line was not completely unexpected. We have seen this story line before but not from the point of view of an outsider. Pastor Jim is a safe harbor for Sam and I'm sure more will come to light later in the story. Nice writing, especially the atmosphere in the church.
