I'm in the same boat honestly. I haven't touched my stories in almost 3-4 years, not because of writer's block, but because it's so hard to bring myself to write, when I've had so much crap happen to me. Call it depression, or lack of motivation, but I'm still struggling to even open my computer to start typing, and I refuse to type my story on my phone due to the many errors that occur. At the end of the day, yes, you may have to step away and leave an audience hanging, but that's far better than you going through something and your lack of focus makes it way to the story. You can't be proud of it, you lose the audience, and it's even harder on you to feel it and see it. Take the time to put yourself where you need/want to be. You as an author come first, especially now that you're a mother. I hope that you see that you are important, and try not to get lost in the world of family and parent-in-laws. Don't over please anyone, and always try to take time for yourself. I say this from experience because that's how I lost everything...I didn't realize the importance of taking care of myself, both mentally and physically. So don't stress about the stories, don't stress about us. Ok? I look forward to seeing more work from you when are good and ready!
