aww! loved this chapter, very sweet, and that always bugged me, that no one ever brought up the fact that shepard was dead, DEAD! no questions about the afterlife or lack that might have been, no one even touches that subject. so yes, i'm going to look forward to the zombie jokes.

Wonderful chapter!

Like how she reflects over if Samara's solution had been the best way, and that this q could actually lead to some interesting dialogue with the ME2 LI. Never thought about that before but it really should have come up in game. Would have loved to be able to discuss it with Garrus and Jacob. Joker's jealousy feels in character.

Steamy sex-scene that is so well written, loved the touch with the french. Things I really liked, that he wasn't super-lover at first go. Felt real and all the more sweeter. Little things I reacted to. " He smelled faintly of soap; a fresh, clean odor, so different from Morinth's rather musky scent". Hmmm... I had no idea that odor could describe both a pleasant or unpleasant scent so the initial description threw me a bit. I couldn't piece fresh, clean and odor together. This is a failing of my English ( 2:nd language) but it would have felt more natural for me to switch odor and scent. But that's just me )

One little thing that I think is wrong right near the end. "He groaned in response ... he began to move beneath her. The movement was rough, instinctual; bereft of any cadence. She found herself... and she arched beneath him". Shouldn't it be she arched above him? )

I've enjoyed reading your story and I have a couple of comments. First, I REALLY appreciated that they didn't just fall into bed right off. By their very nature, most fanfictions are really impatient. I still think it came too soon, but I digress. The point is, you showed some restraint, which I appreciated, while not denying a very physical passion.

There were also a couple of things that I think could be improved. EDI's and Joker's relationship is pretty rough at the moment. While they certainly irritate each other, or at least EDI irritates Jeff, the feel of it thus far is too negative. Maybe you're waiting for the whole IFF thing, but I'd suggest having the EDI saving the crew moment be something of a turning point, or at least the start of one.

Another thing is that while I appreciate that fanfiction is not the ideal format for translating action, it has turned a little TOO skimmed over. I don't mean to say that you should add more, I mean that it's so disconnected that it can be hard to follow what's happening, or where they are in the story. Just some thoughts.

Shepard's and Joker's interaction is quite solid, and as that's the central focus of the story, that's awesome. I'm currently working on something similar which is hovering around 30,000 words at the moment, so I know how hard it is. My Shepard doesn't quite have it as together as yours does though :) Best of luck, and keep moving forward!~
