I was never really one for Norman/Madison but this story kept me reacting in all the right ways. Excellent realism on the intimacy (safe sex bonus 5000 points! communication bonus 10000 points!) and making Norman a dork just put the biggest grin on my face. Definitely favoriting this.

My first review - I really really liked this story. The writing was good, the characterisation felt canon, their dialogue was witty. I liked the realistic half smut too. I have no idea what drunken sex is like, but it seems like it would be the way you described it. My only (very personal) beef is that I would hope two people that had a connection like that, where they hadn't recently found comfort in anyone else but each other, would actually be inclined to see each other again. But that's just me, I like my monogamous long term relationships! 9/10 great story

Grandiloquently. I love that word. Also, the dialogue in the second part of the story had me grinning the entire time i was reading it.

The sex scene was natural, and beautifully written. So often in fiction, sex is written as a frantic, dramatic chasing of the ultimate pleasure, where everything happens at just the right time, and every thought and action happens precisely and exactly directed to maximise the ecstasy of both partners simultaneously. In real life, sex inevitably involves a little bit of fumbling, not everything is choreographed, and people have different desires with different ways in which they must be met. I absolutely understand Norman's moments of disconnection during sex - we're so frequently given to think that sex is supposed to be the ultimate connection, but it doesn't have to be that way. The experience of sex can create a barrier between what goes on in your body and what goes on in your head, perhaps simply because it IS so powerful and unusual - an out-of-body experience, say - and it doesn't have to be a bad thing. That kind of thoughtful awareness during sex can make someone into a very good sexual partner - as opposed to, say, someone whose thoughts have been narrowed down so much by their own pleasure that considering their partner's needs becomes an effort. Sex as meditation? Certainly. I love that this fic, in so few words, has acknowledged so much about the diversity of sexual desire that has taken me a freakin' mini essay to appreciate. I can certainly see how this sort of experience of sex would happen with Norman in particular, who seems to pay so little attention to his own body's needs.

So, yes. I would be absolutely okay with you writing more sex scenes. I would read EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM. The world needs more of your sex scenes in it.

That was a lot of talking about sex. I'm sorry. I should also mention something else, like how this fic provided a lot of much-needed emotional closure after the harrowing events of Heavy Rain. Yeah. Okay, done.

Is it weird that I spent the whole game hoping they'd hook up? So disappointing. But I really like the way you handled this. You kept Jayden's awkwardness, Madison's vulnerability, and managed to show us a side to them both that was both endearing and totally in keeping with their characters. Major credit for the realistic sex - it's a welcome break from all the clean, perfect sex you see in fanfic. It made me like them both that little bit more.

Wow... that was excellent! Norman is my favorite character from the game and I'm so happy to see a well-written seen with him and a woman. Obviously the game didn't lend itself to having Norman get a hookup, but I really like what you've done here.

It fits with what happened in the game, it makes sense. I love the smut... I really like that you wrote it realistic. Everything from the awkwardness, him forgetting to take his shoes off, him coming before her, their bruised damaged bodies, him flinging the used condom across the room. And then the next morning... his withdrawal sickness, and everything else. I LOVED IT!

Realistic is so much better than hollywood sex. This is what real life is like, and that is sooooo much more of a turn-on. Clearly these characters were flawed in the game and you kept that continuity in your story. Norman is damaged goods and it shows in your writing. It was a great hurt/comfort story, a little bit, but yet not all wrapped up nicely in pretty bows at the end.

I really like what he says to Madison when she asks to try his drug, "Nah, it'd blow the top of your head off" At least he's smart enough not to get her hooked on it too. lol

I love this! I recently developed an appreciation for this pairing, so I was pleased to find a good little smut piece dedicated to them. I love the dialogue, and the sex is very well-written indeed - it's nice to find some awkward and, well, realistic smut in a fic for once. Great work!

There should be more awkwarness in sex, and less 'riding the waves of ecstasy' and 'they came in perfect harmony at the same time' and hollering of names. The above-mentioned scenes are mostly written by virginal girls who still have the idea that sex is clean and simultaneous, that women always come and that men are able to do it ten times in a row.

It didn't need to over-romanticized, or super-smutty to be honest. I think the awkward fumbling and realism added more because you can still see their personalities shine through. I couldn't help but crack up when Norman fell over by the bed, because I could so see him doing that. And your Madison is quite fiery indeed, but I love how you balance that with her vulnerability. It's a tough mix, but you pull it off well every time.

There were also just too many moments here where they both just made me smile (the elevator, Madison calling him an asshole, etc). Good stuff all around. :D

No no, I want to see you write smut now, too~! Write it! Post it! Don't tune it down!

So far you've managed drama, horror, supernatural, adventure, hurt/comfort and bits of undeniable humour, so we need brainless pr0n as well.

And between Madison and Jayden, not, god forbid, as so many people seem to want, Blake and Jayden, which is about the least likely combo and seriously unattractive.

I will be very sad if there isn't a follow up. I'm so incredibly guilty of loving these two together, that it's great to see you writing about them.

Drunken Jayden is just adorable with all his ma'ams and jokes. And who wouldn't have take advantage of his accent? Awesome. :D
