Very cute and I enjoyed seeing a wise Sam.

Applying the X-Mas truce to Sam and Freddie is certainly an original idea. They have nowhere near the intensity of a WW1 style conflict between them, but the lesson of stepping back and taking a break is still a valient one to make. Is Freddie really that irritating. Will he always be the "same old Freddie" she's come to tolerate. Will she be able to handle the changes that come with maturity. Perhaps extending the X-mas truce a bit longer would be a good idea after all.

As a follow up, it should be noted that both sided shifted troops who had taken part in the truce to the rear. Their reliability in fighting with the men they had just been celebrating with was questioned. Good will leaves a lasting mark. Maybe our favorite bickering duo will take that lesson to heart.

this is pretty good. Again, I liked the ending... it was so poignant, so... appropriate. It also had a subtle flare to it... which is difficult to do because of the nature of those words.
