What pretty description :) I'm afraid this is going to be a very short review, especially compared to yours! Kaoru/Mei isn't a pairing I've ever considered before, and I'm not sure if objectively I would have thought it plausible- but certainly it is in this story! :O It took me a little while to work out what was talking about the past and what wasn't, but I think it's because I was trying to multi-task. And mostly failing. XD Nice story, nice description, and making me fall for Kaoru all over again D: I liked the atmosphere here especially, very calm and serene :)

Oh you know how much I love this story! From the descriptions to the characters, to the sense of longing and place, everything about it is beautiful. I thought the haiku on the end was a perfect touch. Melancholy runs through the whole story, but there is still a sense of hopefulness at the end, which is why it was so poignant for me. Because these characters are still young, that first brush with love, especially when it's unrequited, can feel like an agony. But luckily that feeling doesn't last forever.

I loved all the imagery and your writing style! A very different take on the Mei/Kaoru relationship, showing that Mei still has some feelings for Tamaki. It really made it feel that much more real.

I loved this when you posted it to Musicroom # 3 and I love it still. Its absolutely adorable and quintescental the two of them.
