Love the idea of Mai being Zuko's knife in the shadows. It's such a wonderful imagery. Mostly I really love the idea that people would actually want to stay away from the royal family because of that, lol! If they only knew what Zuko got on to . . . too bad the comics have ruined a lot of this but man, this is just fantastic.

Very nice. I like how you made it sound like a historical essay or a excerpt from a history book. I enjoyed it greatly and felt that both Zuko and Mai were in character, Toph too. I like this take on Fire Lady Mai, and Fire Lord Zuko.

That was truly epic. I love badass-ninja postwar Fire Lady Mai, and this did not disappoint. SO AWESOME. I also love how Zuko is totally chill about the whole thing, because he knows just how badass she is.

I LOVED this. But then, I do love Mai. Snarky and awesome. And Mai and Toph? Even better.

This is a fascinating theme for a fanfic - I hope to read more of the sort ...
