This is a very interesting story I gotta say.
I have a soft spot for trolls and this story has both that and a mix of everything else I want in a really good fic; love, mystery, sadness, evil guys plotting for the destruction of the universe etc etc.
I cant help but feel, however, that the writing is a bit off sometimes. Normally I can't stand it and just trash the story and move on but I can't seem to let this one go, which means I'm really liking the plot.
I noticed you started this fic back in 2011 but updated again last february. I sincerely hope you haven't given up! I'm putting this on fav/follow. Great work!

This doesn't seem to bode well...why is Liana sleeping so much? Is it depression? I'd hope that Raj's fears of magic effects are just worrying...

Powerful yet sad. Liana seems to be more honest with herself: neither she nor Raj can let go. Perhaps his mind is befuddled by years of war, or he isn't used to such strong feelings.

The weather sets the mood well. A short but good chapter.

That has to hurt, for him to think about Liana finding someone else. Yet it is also less selfish - he truly wants her to have a good life, and it seems that Raj pushes her away because he believes he can't provide that life for her.

And there they are, together again at night. She is even stronger than he is - she is still staying positive and managing to move on. One can only hope that they move on together, though I suppose only time (and the writer) will tell, right?

Alright, this is the first of the two new chapters you've posted, beginning my comment first and begin reading now...

...oh my. Consciously, openly admitting that she loves him now...this is so hard.

Temporary parting of ways? Even temporary feels so sad. She is tough, though, as she still finds a way to sustain herself despite her situation.

Raj is still thinking of her as "his" elf, yet he is fighting his feelings so hard. It's as frustrating for the reader as it must be for him.

And...man, you chose one heck of a time to end the chapter! It was good though, honestly. The reader ought to be left hanging, and wanting more. I'll leave the next chapter for tomorrow...here's to holding on to hope, as the two of them seem to be doing.

Wow...she does realize deep down inside that she loves him? This is so difficult to read, though that does mean you've done a good job of filling your readers with suspense.

I'm almost afraid to read the new chapter you posted now...good job! Here's to hoping Liana is ok.

Oh God...Niabu was hurt so badly. That must be part of why she's defensive of Liana despite Liana belonging to the other faction.

It's sad that Liana can be honest with her feelings but Raj can't. Will she be able to change him? It seems his sister is succeeding a little already, perhaps he will become more "civilized."

Oh no...the way women are treated in the goblin towns is described as so awful, yet Niabu seems so caring despite Liana technically being an enemy.

Would Raj really leave her now? Why does he see the attachment as a problem? Why does he have to be afraid of the prospects of a new life?

He would never let another touch her...is that foreshadowing of where this is going? Will he go to neutral territory with her to live apart from the war?

Oh...why does the loyalty have to end there? Doesn't Raj realize how damaged her life will be, now that she is in an enemy city and might be seen as a traitor?

The amount of care Raj and Niabu are giving to someone from an enemy faction is incredible, but as you point out Niabu realized what's done is done and they have a sick person who needs help.

Alright, she's awake now...that she feels safe shows that she does remember who he was, how she saved him and hopefully how he saved her - she did speak to him before passing out back at the wreckage.

It's kind how he's trying to hard to keep her alive, but this seems like it will be tragic and sad. The only place he could bring her is a city where she would be treated as an enemy. She's a prisoner in their home even though they're working to save her. I hope she does get a happy ending!

That's so sad...Raj is risking a lot to keep Liana alive. The thought that she might not make it is hard to imagine - he is returning the favor she did by helping him due to her conscience. Were the tables initially reversed, would he have done the same? Maybe the answer makes him feel guilty.

By goblin settlement, I'm guessing they mean Ratchet, which is a neutral area?

It's hard to believe that Liana has been unconscious for days - Raj really must be panicked. Though considering the war between the factions, he really had little choice about taking her anywhere other than his home. It's tragic either way, as he likely knows that this will both help his sister to heal Liana but also but her in danger.
