Wow. Go Jullian. Great story. (Written over 20 years ago! like, before I was born!)

This is twenty years later, almost to the month, and I just read this story for the first time.

I don't even know what to think, but it felt so true because that's just the way Bashir is. This gave me way too many feelings, and the Hippocratic oath at the end really punched me in the face.

Thank you for writing this - getting into this fandom so many years after it debuted means that a lot of the writers have moved on or disappeared, but I'm so glad when they leave their stories behind.

you have completely slaughtered me. this fic is older than i am. 100% perfect i am entirely here for more examples of doctor bashir being a doctor. garak, sisko, and the two redshirts were amazing (even though i guess we only met one but dead redshirt had her own impact). fic is utterly amazing. favourite part is the bit where garak subtly points out that he knows doctor bashir's injured even before the reader entirely confirms their suspicions (though i suppose a more astute reader than i would have pegged that the good doctor had something more than a concussion or 'minor' head injury). well done 10/10

This story was posted over 14 years ago, and I just found it. I don't see anything newer than a decade old on your page, but for whatever it is worth - you write one hell of a story. It's weird, like at one time we could have been 'besties' as they say now. I too loved Bashir's character, and Buck from the Young Riders. Anyway, here's hoping the reason you don't post anymore is because you went pro. You are obviously good enough for that.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this, I discovered it a few months back, I am not sure why I did not review then. Well written, gripping very in character.
