this fic is years old and I'm gettin pretty mad reading the AN's, like how TF do people not like naruto x hineta? I love that girl and if it wasn't for Mei Hatsume she would be waifu. this fic seems to already come to an end but I'm hoping to not see any drastic changes to hineta

Addressing your first comment, I am not a Hinata hater, what I hate is how pathetic the 'build up' is to any relationship between her and Naruto. She is like a drifter friend who shows up, makes a mess, sleeps on your couch and then buggers off to who knows where again. If she had more presence, and more character beyond being a wimp and being in love with Naruto, then she'd be a better character, and if her interactions with Naruto weren't so strained, sparse and engaging, then I'd have no problem with her and Naruto being together. As it stands, though, none of that development happened.

Most writers, the one who did 'Naruto: the real fifth Hokage' being the worst of the lot, just have Naruto automatically default to Hinata out of nowhere. In canon, Naruto openly admits he never really noticed Hinata all that much, if at all, so him going, "gee, I'm not getting anywhere with Sakura, so I may as well hook up with Hinata," just pisses me off and strikes as a sign of piss poor writing skill. The author of Naruto himself did this, to the point where the gaiden novels are considered canon by fans rather than that stupid, and poorly named, "The Last" movie. The original cut was literally a case of Naruto suddenly falling in love with Hinata when Sakura told him off about 'loving' her, and pointed out Hinata liked him, while the recut made him and her massively out of character and just as poor executed.

Now for someone who increases exposure between the two, fleshes out their time together and makes it believable that Naruto develops feelings for Hinata, that I can accept. Unfortunately, most people are just too fucking stupid to do any of that and just default to Naruto suddenly falling in love with Hinata for no reason at all. Most of the time, it is literally a case of Naruto going, 'oh there's Hina- OH MY GOD, I LOVE HER SO MUCH!' Can't stand that shit.

One of my favorite fics, Ai Youkai, is Naru/Hina/Harem (with only Sakura and Ino being confirmed right now, with the possibility of Isaribi and, maybe, Ayame, with a hint of Naruto and his succubus princess cousin possibly hooking up. Kushina approves of Naruto romantically pursuing Ayame, as do I) The author of that fic did rush the relationship a bit, but he did point out that Naruto and Hinata hung out a lot after Naruto brought back Tsunade, since Sakura was practically living in Sasuke's hospital room and Kakashi didn't give a damn about Naruto. It is still more believable than 70% of NaruHina fanfics, and canon, so it gets points for that.

Man what a story you are writing and with a different pairing. This story continues, it's perfect.

Haven’t even read the story yet but the opening author notes inspires confidence. Even as a veteran reader to have someone critic themselves and openly admit like you did that raised an eyebrow or two and I’m happy to get started. I can trudge through a measly 4-5 chapters of somewhat poor skills as long as it gets better and the story is captivating. I’ll be back in about 10-15 chapters XD seeeee yah later!
