Reviews for Dear Pinocchio
TimetravelingArchaeologist chapter 6 . 7/7/2016
This is a fantastic story and concept. I'm just sorry to see it's unfinished. I hope you might still have plans to work on it. I know how difficult it can be to finish a story or a series when time and muse run short.
It's very well written, and had me both amused and very interested from the start.
Thanks for sharing, I do hope there is eventually more of it.
excessivelyperky chapter 3 . 3/12/2013
Another excellent chapter. I'm glad Janeway took the time to get her hand looked at, both for her sake and the EMH's. And Tom is going short on sleep, too-between regular shifts and baby, he needs to watch his sleep debt, too.
excessivelyperky chapter 2 . 3/7/2013
I'm glad that Janeway took the time to reassure the back-up Doc that they still needed him (and they will, since the human Doc is going to have to sleep sometime!).

This is a neat story!
excessivelyperky chapter 1 . 3/5/2013
Very good beginning, along with requisite Evil Cliffie. I like this story, and look forward to reading more.
Runawaymetaphor chapter 6 . 4/23/2012
Thought I left this the day you posted- sorry for lag.

Loved this, and was well worth the wait. Favorite is the Tom/Doc exchange (... I'm sure you're not surprised), but your Janeway and Seven are both immpecable.

Kudos from a fellow author who is now well-acquainted with life interrupting the pace of (posted) fiction.

Best,

Alton Cyphers chapter 6 . 4/18/2012
i love this story, and i hope updates come soon. i think i've read another of your stories, one that isn't up at the moment, and i plan on reading the others, and until this is updated, i just have to wait.

the plot to this is wonderful, and the romance, which i hope is between the human Doctor and Janeway as i've been lead to believe, is going to be as good as it already seems, with all the care to place a stable place around it.
badmelk chapter 6 . 4/18/2012
yay! was so excited when i got the email for the update! i just love the way you write :) when i read that doc and doc dont hang i thought that would be cool to have them banter with each other... anyway great and thanks for sharing
Arbitrary-Arsenic chapter 2 . 3/21/2012
Oh dear, two Docs? This is going to be complicated and sad, I can tell. At any rate, you've got the characters down pat, with a more realistic description of how they feel about their situation in the delta quadrant. This is brilliant.
Arbitrary-Arsenic chapter 1 . 3/21/2012
Oh damn! The Doc's totally gone human. This ought to be interesting.

Also, love your style. Speaking from the Doctor's point of view is something a lot of people have trouble with, I've noticed, but you make it very believable. In character. Love it.
Littlebitsoflogic chapter 5 . 1/7/2012
I agree with Runawaymetaphor, especially about the hat.

Another fantastic chapter to a wonderful story by a brilliant writer. I pulled out my thesaurus for that praise.
AkiraNatsume chapter 5 . 1/6/2012
fascinating.
badmelk chapter 5 . 1/5/2012
yay for another chapter! eagerly awaiting more :)
Runawaymetaphor chapter 5 . 1/4/2012
"The weather in Tuscany was warmer than Kathryn usually kept it; the Doctor could tell this by the loose, short-sleeved tunic his friend had chosen to wear. . . And that hat. He'd rather not think about that hat (which had made its first appearance two weeks prior) unless it was to tell her to never to wear it again. But since they were seated outside and in the sun, and it was shading her eyes from the glare, he had to bite his holographic tongue."

My favorite chapter so far. Expertly drawn images, subtle in its emotion. Dialogue that rings profoundly true. But above all else, the passage above will remain a sentimental favorite, as I firmly think that the best, most devoted friends are those who (however artfully and at the right time) tell you The Truth about your fashion choices.
dragonnan chapter 3 . 12/26/2011
I just discovered this story today after I began rewatching Voyager on Netflix and decided I needed some fanfic cookies to go with my streaming coffee XD.

You. Are. BRILLIANT!

Admittedly I quirked a brow upon first opening this story - not knowing what I might encounter. I've long been a fan of the Doctor, though, and could not pass up giving it a chance. Gosh, I'm so glad I did! You have a beauty of language, a way of writing that would make me love this regardless of the plot. And the plot? Incredible! Top it off with the totally convincing medical speech and you've hooked me! (mobile emitter controlling his brain? Again, brilliant!)

I'm even excited about the relationship you've begun between the Doc and the Captain, one of the reasons behind my eyebrow quirk and yet, you made it totally convincing! And it wouldn't be the first time she's fallen for a holographic being. In fact, I find they could actually be perfect for one another. I can't wait for this story to resume and I shall be reccing it to other readers/writers at the forum I frequent.
