This was a wonderful story. So well written and angsty but with a hopeful ending. Love truly is everything and I'm glad that despite everything they still got together

The ending kind of made me sad.

Liked everything in this story except for how you threw away their relationship for 4 years, also about asuka's virginity being thrown out the window just for the sake of it. Sorry for sounding mean but the rest of the story I honestly liked.

So I assume Seele and Gendo's scenarios don't apply to this AU? Fine. Still annoyed about the last chapter, that was lazy writing. If you'd decided to move the cockpit to the skull (not sure how, its full of brains) then you should have said that beforehand. Or said how the angel flipped Unit 02 around and slammed the knife into the Entry Plug, (and used its AT field to get around the armor) although that would still have smashed her head apart as well as bisecting her instead of just bisecting most of her body. As it is, the Angels attack must have suddenly teleported through Unit 02's head, neck and into the upper chest to reach Asuka.

Um What? The cockpit isn't in the head. Its in the spine. If it was in the head, Shinji would be dead in the first episode when Sachiel smashes its laser arm through Unit 01's eye. It causes feedback pain or damage depending on how synced the pilot is but it wouldn't touch them physically.
