I love this story.
The only problem I have is the date night thing. Tony and Gibbs had planned to go out days beforehand, so they should have told Reed sooner than just before they were about to leave so they could prepare him. It was cruel and unnecessary to wait until they were just about to leave to tell him, so it’s no wonder he reacted the way he did.
Also after what Reeds been through, they could have eased him into it by leaving him for shorter periods of time beforehand, such as leaving him to make a quick trip to the shops, so that he would be prepared for their date night.
