| Guest chapter 6 . 12/14/2013 Interesting part. It was good to see Gale again. Though I feel it's sad that Katniss still thinks so badly of him. Gale didn't stay away because he didn't care, he stayed away because he knew his presence would be upsetting for Katniss and because he didn't want to be around to remind her of Prim's death every time she saw him. I wish that Katniss could have seen that and know that he didn't abandon her because he didn't care, but that he stayed away to give her room because he cared so much. I think it would help Katniss to know that. The way Katniss and Gale's relationship was destroyed by Coin's actions and the war was always one of the saddest aspects of the war for me. I'm glad that you didn't completely vilify him. It bugs me so much how people hate on a 19 year old kid who suffered so much oppression his whole life and fought back, not just to save himself, but to liberate the whole country. |
