Wow brilliant, a fairly accurate portrayal - at least in my mind- of the conditions and brutal treatment of mages and sympathisers.
Really well done at also exploring the r/s between the siblings rather than just rivalry and jealousy as Carver is portrayed in game

Wow, I have to say that you have stunned me with this story. This is honestly one of the best Carver stories I've ever read, here or elsewhere. I can tell you the truth when I say that you've inspired me. I know that I sound like I'm gushing, but I can't help but reiterate on how good of a story this really is. You impress me, and you won my heart.

Bravo.

I was NOT expecting that ending, but then again, Carver loves his sister. If it was to be him or her in that noose, I'm positive he would have chosen himself.

Okay, I did not see that ending coming.
Then again, there are a few signs here and there that point to this. What comes to mind is Eleanor Cousland's phrase - "I do not fear death - I've got nothing else to lose."
Oh, and I think it was Jennifer Hepler who related Anders to the words "bipolar terrorist". I *think*. So, interesting A/N. :)

AARRRGGGGH! That ending was intense! The very last line sealed the whole thing for me! Wow, what an efficient, emotional piece. Kind of like calligraphy.

I love Carver and I think you've done an absolutely excellent job writing him. Between his motivation, his strengths, and his weaknesses. And I feel that these scenes could have very well come straight from the game.

Wow. I didn't tear up or anything I swear. I have allergies that's my story and I'm sticking to it. The end. I mean... Wasn't expecting it at all. Jaw hit the floor. Well done.

I suppose that this wouldn't have been much of a game had things gone this way, however this is likely one of the more realistic outcomes for the direction things had headed. Phenomenal story, really.
