Lmb111514 chapter 7 . 6/25/2019
The struggle that this story spoke of(between Alfred and Arthur, and between their own selves) was riveting to read. The letters were beautiful and expressed Alfred and arthur’s emotions perfectly. Thank you for writing this story; I loved each moment I spent reading it...

13 Pairs of Wings chapter 7 . 11/22/2012
Very cute story. I cant say it was necessarily short in the sense that it was made from few words, but it was short in a way that I finished reading very soon because I enjoyed reading about Alfred's (and towards the end, Arthur's) letters and how they changed over the years, but continued to express what he was feeling.

I think the fact that not all of the letters were speaking to Arthur in an "I love you" sort of way is very good. It makes the reader believe that Alfred really means what he's said, and that he isn't writing blindly so to speak.

I would also like to say, that upon reading the ending I literally did say, "awww!" The way you ended it felt like there was still more in store for these two and that they still had far to go, but yet was a satisfactory ending.

I really enjoyed how you word about Alfred's time during the Civil War. I've seen/read/come across many different ideas about what went down and how Alfred dealt with things, Many of them, I have to say were rather sloppily made. Your's however, I feel no second thoughts about saying that it was one of my favorites. It was believable and dramatic, but not overly so in a way that seemed put on for show.

I hope you continue to write many more fanfics, for I know so many writers (myself included) that start something, but never get around to finishing it because of one thing or another. Even if an author take months between updates it always makes me happy to read a new chapter, or story that they have written.

That was so beautiful. I think you're wrong. I think that's an absolutely perfect way to write it.
But I may take you up on the story idea prompt thing. Once I've finished the half a million other stories I'm writing, posted and un posted. Which is probably never.
Still, you captured the perfectly. Well done.
I like to think I'm not fluffy. Here I am, nearly brought to tears by a flufy USUK story... God. Rabbit Heart much?
