Okay, I just read this whole fic through and am basically in tears so why in the world is it not finished? Talk about emotional upheaval. This story was going so well. Please tell me you intend to finish it?

I... oh wow. You definitely got me a few times. The first being when it was revealed about Kirk and his mother's sickness... not his own. I... I should have known about what was going on with Spock when the "cold" hadn't gone away. ...That was the second time you got me. The third is not knowing whether chapter 14 was the very end, or just where you disappeared.

Despite that... this fic truly left me feeling strongly for these two. I mean, wow. The way you organized and orchestrated it all... I'm thoroughly impressed and joyed to have been able to read it :)

Thank you for your beautiful piece. It reminds me fondly (as odd as it sounds) of the last moments that I spent in hospice.

my maternal grandfather is dying of stage 4 lung cancer and brain tumors, i leave i september to say goodbye because they gave him a year tops.
other than my emotional crap, this is beautifully written, i haven't read something this good in ages.

This is one of the best stories I have ever read. It touched something deep within me. I await the next chapter eagerly, so I hope you update soon! ;)

The problem with these kinds of stories is that even though the author states explicitly that there will be character death, you still hope. It sucks! I'm reading along and thinking "oh he won't die, he'll get saved...right? right?"

But anyway, fantastic writing. You obviously know exactly how it feels to be in that position and I hope it's not from experience.
