I love the interaction between those two here. Hakoda with his straight, no-nonsense attitude and wisdom is just what Zuko needs with all the uncertainty and antagonism he's going through. And he will be able to get through to Katara. Stop moping, Zuko XD

Stories where Hakoda acts as a father-like figure to Zuko make me all warm and fuzzy inside :)

Zuko's biggest role model was Iroh, who never ever gives you a straight answer. So yeah Zuko needs some help with that.

I might have enjoyed this better without all the swearing. Otherwise, I love the idea behind it. Well written. :)

the use of "Fuck" was pretty jarring (somehow 'shit' was fine though? haha), but the rest of it was a really nice read. The line where Hadoka thinks about children fighting the war was particularly well said.

so yeah, maybe some alternate swears (damn, spirits, curse, idk) would help with the flow, but otherwise very nice. Thanks fer the read.

I love Hakoda and him being nice and fatherly towards Zuko is many tons of awesomeness.
