Can I say, I don't follow MLP like my niece does and I have to tip my hat off to you. Not only did you write a brilliant and wonderful story... you gave Big Mac such a compelling story, that I loved it. I happened on your story per chance and I am very glad that I did. Beautiful work!

I love this story so much. It goes into so much detail about Big Mac. It looks past the surface of a quiet earth pony, and reveals all the twists and turns he went through to become the stallion he is now. The prologue, the concept, the ending, especially the ending, all were beautiful and very well written.

What a charming and interesting story from Mac's point of view! I enjoyed it very much. - Although, if Lily was actually like that and was ever left alone with Pinkie Pie, I'm pretty sure that would be the end of Equestria. XD I hope Big Mac gets his own episode in the future.

This is the third time reading the whole fic (teary-eyed throughout, I might add) and I think it's time I praise it. From the characterizations to the story line and tragic back stories to comic relief, my words could not adequately describe the sheer beauty your words put to pixels. They develop the mental film strip that is the action every time and that's what a story should do. Bravo!

However, there is one thing I've always wondered each time I read: What EXACTLY happened at his birthday party? You leave very subtle clues and vague details for your reader occasionally, but for me that's not enough. Especially if it's one of Pinkie's first parties (if not the first Ponyville party... it can't be THE first since that was with her parents on the rock farm :P) I would find that highly entertaining to read with all the follies and mishaps that could happen there. It would also bring up new elements and emotions that may not have been completely clear in this story to enhance it! ...I mean, that is, if that's okay with you and you really want to... *eep*

And between you, me, and the comment lurkers, I may be a bit biased in favouriting this story since he's my favourite pony, but I don't care. You've only helped me make him my favourite. :D

Oh yeah, who's reviewing right now and is a boss at calling stories... This guy (as he points to himself). I narrowed it down to daisy, fluttershy, our twilight. I also noticed that you put a little more emphasis on how twilight, fluttershy, and cheerlie were just friends. I figured it was daisy based on the bids and pieces I got from the story.

You should be proud of this story, although I do wonder just how you plan to top this?

I can honestly say this was one of my 5 favorite stories that I've ever read. You have a way with words that would make most people jealous, and I thank you for writing something as enjoyable as this.

Sure thought either rose or cheerilee or possibly fluttershy was going to be the one(s) to end up with him.

This was very nice, a truly great story about Bic Mac. Seems like not many people write about him as a main character.

Now, there's very view fan fics I consider 'favorites.' Only ones that really, really affect me. This is one of them.

I think, like allot of MLP:FIM fans (considering the interest in this fic), we wonder what Big Macintosh is like in depth and not just the oddball that has his silly little catchphrase to throw in every now and then.

You made him three dimensional in this fan fic, undoubtedly even more so than the television program could ever accomplish; especially when it has to live up to the expectations of 'positive' by the younger fanbase. That's the wonder of fan fiction, eh? The dark tones one can incorporate on a primarily lighthearted show, plus on a mostly unestablished minor character.

I really can't express all the feelings I had during all the aspects, revelations, narration, and memories featured in the story; all I can really say is that they were top notch and really evoked emotion. Plus the 'Aftermath' chapter was brilliant in the respect that you kept fooling everyone on who Mac would hitch up with. ("Dreams" by Van Halen was just so appropriate to pop up on my playlist during my reading of that chapter, lol. Ohhh the corniness of the Eighties Ballad, but I still enjoyed the Aftermath very much despite my devilish musical library.)

5/5, my friend. This really is one of those fics I'll always remember.
