love this tho

I loved this story so much. I enjoyed the development of Elena and Elijah’s relationship over the course of the story and this made my Elejah shipper heart happy.

I am totally on Bonnie’s side of this. Just because the vampires are personally good to you and you have an attachment to them, doesn’t mean you should willingly blind yourself to the morally reprehensible things they do. Like how she pushed under the rug how Damon treated Caroline, like it was nothing. She’s hell on the #metoo movement, that’s for damn sure, for that. It makes me dislike Elena, that she acts oblivious to what is so obviously wrong to a good person with the right mindset like Bonnie. The ‘ what, no? What does this have to do with anything? You’re wrong’ type of reaction turns my stomach. Color me unimpressed and unengaged. Not dissing your writing, more like the characters faults that can’t be ignored .

this was so well written and in character it is hard to believe this didn't really happen in the show! I became entranced and couldn't stop till the end! so amazing I loved all the changes and how all the drama still happened in different ways! so damn perfect thank you for sharing with us and man I wouldn't mind reading a sequel to this! sending you much love for this thank you!

It's been ages since I read this - I read it when it wasn't yet completed, Tuesday was my favourite day of the week for a very very long while there. This is the single best Elejah fic I've read, question of it. It's one of Those fics - the fics you read and reread, that shape the way you view characters and that part of you secretly considers canon if not parallel. Hell, just reading the last few lines of the first chapter now because they're just over the review text box fills me with nostalgia, and is threatening to make me plow through all glorious 36 chapters again, fourth time I think it would be. I've been loving this fic since I was a middle schooler.

Sadly, being an ass I never left a review, but better half a decade late than never. This is one of my all-time favourites, I feel I can't quite repeat that enough.
