This was a lovely ending to the Karen Miller duology and I really enjoyed reading it.

Both Anakin and Obi-Wan were magnificently in character; Anakin in full must-save-everyone-but-neglect-myself mode, and Obi-Wan saving Anakin from himself. I really liked how Em Dee drugged Anakin and Admiral Yularen made sure Anakin went to med bay. The Admiral must be getting sick of making sure recalcitrant injured Jedi behave themselves :D

Really well done. This was a great story.

I really, really, really liked this one. As much as I loved Karen Miller's "Gambit" books, the lack of... regard the consequences of what Anakin did bothered me a bit, too- and I'm sorry I haven't found this one-shot before (which explains the rather late review :-)). You wrote it beautifully, keeping Anakin and Obi-Wan very much in character, and portraying their relationship brilliantly in (relatively) little words. Thank you- a lot- for that :-)

i loved Gambit, and while Karen did supply a good amount of anakin wump, she did kind of favor obi wan :p like you said the man was literally a storm shield for hours and then he was a battle shield when one of the sectors gave out.. you dont just bounce back from that. your alternate ending rocks! :)

Lovely story - Ive always wondered about what happened after Lanteeb and how Anakin and Obi-Wan dealt with it. Its a shame that there arent many fics set in the Gambit duology.

Also, Ive always felt that the things Anakin and Obi-Wan did on Lanteeb were not so completely physically possible.

With Karen Miller its alway the same. Put the characters in an extremely tough mission that goes wrong, where all odds are against them and they have to do impossible feats to survive and all that without eating, drinking, proper sleep and basic human needs.

BTW - I cant imagine Anakin loosing 20 percent of his body weight? I cant remember how long they were on Lanteeb if it even was mentioned in the book, but 20 percent? Thats just too much...Poor guy. He really needed rest and someone to take care of him (A certain Senator from Naboo, perhaps?:P)
